Following the resounding success of his beautiful show Vaslav, multi award winning performer Godfrey Johnson presents an all new post-lockdown one man extravaganza. Join Johnson as he accompanies himself on piano and performs new compositions inspired by the madness and unpredictability of the Twenty First Century. Johnson shares some personal stories as he explores the art of managing oneself as a middle aged man in this extraordinary day and age. Hilarious, touching and brutally honest, Johnson chats about his plunge into sobriety and his overwhelming fear of the past. Johnson is known for his interpretations of the work of Jacques Brel and Noel Coward and in this show we get to hear more of his original work as well as songs by Waits, Porter, Sondheim and other masterful song writers. Johnson was most recently seen in the four time Fleur du Cap nominated one-man show, “VASLAV”, written by Karen Jeynes and directed by Lara Bye. (nominated for best actor in a musical, best performance in a one person show and best composer) He also enjoyed a 2019 run with Pieter-Dirk Uys in “Bambi Sings The F.A.K Songs
